EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Our Company is looking to hire the following Electrician:


Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system Certified Industrial Electrician in the Province of Ontario.
Licenced or 5th year electricians only need to apply.
Own Tools/Equipment Tools; Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Physically demanding.
Work Site Environment Outdoors\indoors.
Transportation/Travel Information Own vehicle; Valid driver's licence.

Work Location Information Various locations.
Knowledge of Canadian electrical code.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are required, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently under pressure without supervision, handle multiple projects with conflicting priorities.
Good hands on skills, experience in residential, commercial and lighting retro fit.
Education Completion of high school; Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.) Electrician Trade Certification; First Aid Certificate; WHMIS Certificate.
Specific Skills Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications; Install underground wiring and cables; Splice, join and connect wires; Troubleshoot and isolate faults; Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs.


The industrial electrician powers, controls and maintains Ontario's factories, plants and industries. Knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies is paramount in keeping our province on the leading edge. Apply your technical know-how in an industrial or plant setting, assembling, testing, installing and maintaining electrical and electronic components and systems.


Industrial Apprenticeship program, you will learn technical theory and skills in the three levels of in-school training allocated toward your electrician apprenticeship. You will learn to perform a wide range of tasks including: lay out, assemble, install, repair, maintain, connect or test electrical fixtures, apparatus, control equipment and wiring for electrical systems; plan installations from blueprints, sketches and specifications and install all electronic devices; systematically diagnose faults in electrical and electronic systems and equipment, and repair or replace electrical and electronic components; measure, cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures; splice and terminate electrical conductors, and test electrical and electronic equipment for proper function; program and troubleshoot PLC and fire alarm systems.
